Welcome to Cripps Social Club, our home in Northampton for regular class every Tuesday and monthly parties on Saturdays. We have introduced a new schedule of classes which includes a style themed masterclass for those who wants a challenge and a beginners-improvers class for those who need a helping hand moving up to intermediate. So something for everyone and fantastic freestyle through to 11pm in this lovely purpose built venue. (See 'Timings' tab below). Cripps is a lively social club used by the Hospital employees and is situated adjacent 'Area J' in the middle of the Northampton General Hospital. The main hall boasts a MEGA in-house sound and special effects lighting system which will really put you in the mood for dancing. The beautiful sprung wooden floor has been sanded down and refinished to provide a fantastic new dance floor for your pleasure. There is a large built in stage with powerful spotlights to illuminate the teacher and provide you with a clear view of the teaching during the class. We have provided 4 large industrial fans and one HUGE fan to keep cool and get the air moving. In addition the 4 ceiling extractor fans have recently been refurbished and are busily sucking out all the hot humid air making the atmosphere more comfortable for dancing. The venue is situated in the middle of town and is easily located as you just follow the signs to the Hospital and A&E! There are 2 large floodlit car parks right next to the venue and we have organise FREE parking for you.

Cripps Social Club is located in the middle of the Northampton General Hospital.
Access to the club is via the Hospital access roads.
You have to enter the Hospital grounds from Cliftonville Road (A4501) which is easily located by following the multiple signs around town for the Hospital and the Accident & Emergency department.
There is a set of traffic lights at the entrance to the Hospital from Cliftonville Road as seen in images below.
You take the entrance and pretty much immediately there is a small traffic island. Go straight across following sign for 'Hospital' as below in image 1.. Continue straight on passing the A&E department on your right. There are large car parks on your left. You will then bear slightly left and down hill where the road narrows and you come to a T-junction as seen below in image 2.
1. 2.
Turn LEFT at the junction seen in image 2. above, then take the first entrance on your LEFT into Area J which is where Cripps is located. Look for signs to 'Cripps Recreation Centre' which is located in Area J
3. 4. 5.
You will turn sharp LEFT and down a slight hill towards car park 2. or you can go straight on into car park 1 if the barrier is open!
For Parking information please see 'Parking' Tab
Enter the Cripps Recreation Building through the main doors which lead into a reception area and lobby. The main reception desk is on your RIGHT and this is where you can get a Car Parking Permit if you don't have one.
The main function room that we use for classes is through the double door to the LEFT. (See image 1. below). Then turn immediately RIGHT passed the Ladies a& Gents toilets on your left and up the dogleg stairs in front of you.

Parking
PARKING IN CRIPPS CAR PARKS 1 & 2 IS FREE WITH A CEROC PARK PERMIT & CRIPPS PARKING TICKET - PLEASE READ DETAILS BELOW VERY CAREFULLY....
The entrance to the club is through the double doors at the top of the yellow hatched lines in middle right of the aerial image below and there are 2 main car parks.
Cark Park 2. - There is a large car park to the rear of the Cripps Social Club building next to the five-a-side football pitch (rectangle of light green middle left of aerial image below). This is called Car Park 2. and can be seen in the top left of the aerial view below.
Car Park 1. - There is also parking directly in front of the club entrance in Car Park 1, as seen in bottom right of aerial image below but this is usually very busy.

Parking Permit & Parking Tickets - When you attend Ceroc at Cripps you need to pick up a special 'Ceroc Park Permit' (see image below) and a 'Cripps Parking Ticket' from the 'Ceroc Parking Attendant' in the car park area or from the Cripps Main Reception. Both the permit and the ticket then need to be clearly display in your car each time that you park in either of these car parks. The car parks are owned and run by the hospital and if you buy a ticket out of the machine in Car park 2 it will cost you something like £2.50 or 40p from the machine in car park 1 but you would have to input your registration number!!!!!
The special Cripps parking is free you just collect it from the Ceroc car park attendant. Remember - Clearly display both the parking ticket and parking permit in your car. Failure to do so may result in you receiving a parking penalty notice and a fine of up to £40.

CAR PARK 2
Approaching Car Park 2 you will pass the ticket machines on your left by the automatic barriers (see image 1. below) Continue into the car park passing the 5-a-side football pitches on your right and find yourself a car parking space. See image 2. below.
1. 2.
You are a 'Visitor & Non Permit Holder' (see image below) so you will need to get a parking ticket for your car from the Ceroc Parking Attendent or the Cripps main reception which is FREE. You will need to clearly display this along with your special Ceroc Park Permit (image below) which can be optained from the reception at Cripps front desk or from the Ceroc parking attendant. Failure to display both the ticket and the Permit may result in you receiving a parking penalty notice and fine.
Once you have a Car Park Permit you should keep hold of it for your next visit.

You will need to walk up from the Car Park 2 to the Cripps Building which is a couple of minutes walk depending on where you in the car park you managed to park.
Head back to the car park entrance by the barriers, turn LEFT and take the footpath just past the little concrete bollards, the entry for which is by the yellow tubular fencing. Head into Area J. Walk across the yellow hatched area, passed the Cripps Staff parking area on your left and towards the main entrance.
See story boards below:
CAR PARK 1
Parking is available in Car Park 1 if the barrier is up.
As you turn into Area J you will see the barrier to Car Park 1 immediately in front of you.
If it is open you can park in this area.
You still need to get a parking ticket from the parking attendant or Cripps main reception and display that clearly along with your Car Park Permit.
The ticket machine by the entrance issues 40p tickets and all the others will charge you a lot more so avoid them all and get your ticket from the parking attendant.
